JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE challenge in the present Writ Appeal is to the order dated 10th January, 2007 passed by the learned Single Judge recorded in W.P.(C).No.1069 of 2007. THE appellant, who is the petitioner in the original lis, was a participant in the Kozhikode Revenue District School Kalolsavam 2006-07 in English Essay Writing Competition'. It is his case that he was only awarded 'C' Grade. Challenging the award of 'C' Grade, petitioner filed appeal before the appellate authority, the Deputy Director of Education, Kozhikode, the 3rd respondent, which was dismissed. Aggrieved, thus, he filed the writ, which has been dismissed.

(2.) THE only point raised in support of the petition before the learned Single Judge so also before us is that the time for writing essay competition was too short. On the aforesaid contention, the learned Single Judge recorded the following order:-
