JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS is a petition filed under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. The petitioner is the accused in Crime No.78/2006 of Cherthala Excise Range registered under Section 55(a) of the Abkari Act on the allegation that the petitioner was found in possession of 90 litres of spirit. He is in custody since 13.3.2007. Heard both sides.

(2.) IT is hereby ordered that the petitioner shall be released on bail on executing a bond for Rs.25,000/- with two solvent sureties each for the like sum to the satisfaction of the court below. He shall not in any manner interfere with the investigation. The petitioner is directed that he shall report before the investigating officer on every Friday at 10.a.m. until the final report is filed. The application is allowed.
