JUDGEMENT

(1.) This application is filed u/s 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking pre-arrest bail.

(2.) The applicant is the accused in Crime No. 634/2023 of Perumbavoor Police Station. The offences alleged are punishable under Ss. 406 and 420 of the Penal Code, 1860.

(3.) The prosecution case, in short, is that the applicant with the intention to cheat the defacto complainant and her friends, promised to obtain a job for them in Kuwait as hospital care assistant and from 23/1/2023 to 10/3/2023 induced them to transfer a sum of Rs.1,90,300.00 from each person to his account and cheated them without arranging the job as such.
