JUDGEMENT

(1.) These are application for regular bail.

(2.) The petitioner in both these cases is one Samar Ismail Shaha.

(3.) The allegation against the petitioner in Crime No. 1200 of 2021 of Ernakulam Town North Police Station is that, the petitioner represented to the de facto complainant that he is a dealer of imported fruits and onions and on the premise that he would supply fruits and onions to the de facto complainant, the petitioner collected from the de facto complainant and his associates a total sum of Rs.19,77,500.00 and thereafter failed to supply any goods to them. The allegation in Crime No. 1208 of 2021 is that, the petitioner made the de facto complainant believe that if the de facto complainant invests money in the business of onions and coconuts, the petitioner would run the business and return the amounts invested along with substantial profit. It is alleged that the de facto complainant, believing the words of the petitioner, paid a total amount of Rs.99,80,000.00, out of which an amount of Rs.35,41,409.00 is stated to have been returned by the petitioner.
