JUDGEMENT

(1.) AS many as five objections were raised as regards the maintainability of the election petition by the returned candidate. The are:

(2.) A reading of the election petition reveals that the election has been called in question on the ground of double voting. But then the maintainability of the election petition has to be considered on objection raised by the returned candidate. This is the crux of section 93 of the Kerala Panchayath Raj Act 1994.

(3.) THE original petition (civil) is allowed. No costs.
