JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE writ petition is filed seeking a direction directing the 1st respondent to issue a duplicate Registration Certificate for the vehicle bearing Registration No. KL-07-BH- 3447 (Tata Benz Tanker Lorry) within a time limit to be fixed by this Court and for a further direction to the 1st respondent to take urgent action pursuant to Ext P4 chalan for the issue of duplicate R.C. Book for the aforesaid vehicle pursuant to Ext.P5 petition filed by the petitioner.

THE petitioner submitted a representation dated 28-7-2011 in W.P.(C) No. 20981/2011 for cancellation of the transfer of ownership of the Tata Benz Lorry bearing registration No. KL-7-BH-3447 dated 28-7-2011. This court by judgment dated 5-6-2012 directed the Regional Transport Officer, Ernakulam to consider Ext. P14 representation and to pass appropriate orders thereon.

(3.) PURSUANT to the direction issued by this court, the Regional Transport Officer passed Ext.P1 order dated 30-10-2012 stating that the Authority decided to withdraw and cancel the clearance certificate issued to SRTO, Aluva in favour of Sri. Sunil Lawrence dated 7-6-2011, and ordered to issue fresh clearance certificate in favour of Meethiyan Kunju to Joint Regional Transport Officer, Perumbavoor.
