(1.) PETITIONER is a consumer of electricity supplied by the first respondent. There were disputes between the parties as a result of which, the licence was not renewed. Finally pursuant to the directions contained in Ext.P1 judgment, licence was renewed. In the meantime, hotel remained closed for about 1= years. However, petitioner was issued Ext.P4 bill demanding dues for the period upto October, 2005 and by Ext.P4, petitioner was required to remit Rs.2,45,911/-. On receipt of Ext.P4, petitioner submitted Ext.P5 representation and considering the representation, Corporation issued Ext.P6 notice demanding Rs.1,15,713/-. It is on receipt of Ext.P6, this writ petition was filed challenging Exts.P4 and P6. Pursuant to the interim orders, petitioner has paid the amount demanded by Ext.P6.

CORPORATION has filed a statement and according to the Corporation, the amount mentioned in Ext.P4 shows the entire arrears due from the petitioner with interest upto November, 2005, and the amount mentioned in Ext.P6 communication shows only the arrears of electricity charges for the period from January 2005 to November 2005 with interest. It is also stated that in addition to the amount mentioned in Ext.P6, Rs.88,810/- with interest is still outstanding from the petitioner.
(3.) IT is made clear that this Court has not expressed anything on the merits of the contentions raised and it will be open to the petitioner to seek their remedies against the demand, if any, issued by the Corporation. Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
