JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioner is an authorized wholesale Ration Distributor in Alappuzha District. It is stated in the writ petition that he is also the Secretary of the Kerala Ration Wholesale Distributors Federation.

(2.) THE grievance raised in the writ petition is that the wholesale distributors in Alappuzha District are always compelled to supply free ration during natural calamities like flood, drought etc. and the amounts spent on the supply of free ration would be reimbursed only after a long gap of time. It is submitted that in other Districts, only retail dealers are expected to supply free ration.
