JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioners are husband and wife who are desirous of conducting Haj pilgrimage this year. According to the petitioners, they have been applying for the last four years, viz. 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 and the respective cover numbers as told by the officials of the State Haj Committee, are KL.6404-3-2009, KL.20193-2-2010, K.L.F.12729-2-2011 and K.L.R.8029-2-2012.

(2.) IT is pointed out that after drawing of lots, the petitioners have been selected provisionally and a letter has been issued intimating the same to the petitioners and requiring them to pay the stipulated fees including travelling fares in the name of the second respondent. Accordingly, the petitioners have remitted a total amount of Rs.2,66,400.00 by way of two chalans dated 23.5.2012 and 19.7.2012. The petitioners have taken the vaccination for meningitis and polio and Exts.P4 and P5 are copies of the certificate of vaccination.
