JUDGEMENT

(1.) The Petitioner is one of the persons included in the ranked list, for the post of H.S.S.T (Geography) (Junior), which came into force from 05/04/2010, a copy of which is produced as Ext. P-1.

(2.) Going by Ext. P-1 ranked list, 31 candidates were included in the main list. Ext. P-2 is the ranked list for H.S.S.T (Geography)(Senior) wherein 22 candidates have been included in the main list.

(3.) The contention raised by the Petitioner is that the Public Service Commission has a duty to prepare a ranked list containing sufficient number of candidates for filling up the available vacancies. Seeking for expansion of the ranked list, the Petitioner and a few others filed W.P.(C). No. 23559/2008 which was dismissed by Ext. P4 judgment.
