(1.) PETITIONER has come to this Court with this petition for issue of directions under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to the 1st respondent to afford police protection to the petitioner for the peaceful and orderly carrying on of loading and unloading work in his establishment making use of the service of his attached registered workers, 6 in number and covered by Ext.P6 series identify cards.
(2.) ACCORDING to the petitioner, she runs a shop, where the work of loading and unloading is involved. The petitioner has applied for and obtained registration for 6 permanent workers of hers as attached workmen. Ext.P6 series are their identity cards. In view of such registration as attached workmen, the petitioner contends that she is entitled to get the work of loading and unloading done by the said 6 workmen. Obstruction is raised by respondents 2 to 5, trade unions, against such work being performed. The police are guilty of inaction. It is, in these circumstances, that the petitioner has come to Court.
(3.) THE learned counsel for the 4th respondent accepts that the 4th respondent or members of the 4th respondent shall not raise any objection against such work being done by the attached workmen registered under Ext.P6 series. THE learned Government Pleader submits that adequate and sufficient protection shall be granted by the 1st respondent to the petitioner to get the work done by the said 6 workmen covered by Ext.P6 series.
