(1.) [ WP(C).31579/2019, WP(C).8139/2020 ] Dated this the 18th day of August 2020 These writ petitions are taken up together as the matter is related to land acquisition for District Court Complex in Pathanamthitta District.

(2.) W.P.(C) No. 31579/2019 was filed by one Krishna Kumar and Others. The petitioners are the land owners whose land have been identified for establishing the District Court Complex in Pathanamthitta District. They approached this Court on account of the considerable delay in finalising the proceedings for land acquisition. They also express their willingness for a negotiated purchase by the Government.

(3.) W.P.(C) No. 8139/2020 was filed by the District Bar Association, Pathanamthitta. They approached this Court seeking a direction against the official respondents to take effective steps to complete the acquisition of six acres of land referred in this writ petition.
