JUDGEMENT

(1.) The above OP(KAT) was filed by the applicants in OA(EKM) No.327 of 2020 on the file of Kerala Administrative Tribunal, Additional Bench, Ernakulam (for short Tribunal). Respondents herein are the respondents before the Tribunal. The petitioners are aggrieved by the order dated 20.2.2020 of the Tribunal in the above Original Application.

(2.) The petitioners are persons registered with the Town Employment Exchange, Taliparamba, who possessed the qualification of Diploma in Agricultural Science. As per Annexure-A1 produced before the Tribunal, the 2nd respondent issued a letter directing all the Principal Agricultural Officers to give preference to diploma holders in Agriculture Science and only if such candidates are not available, V.H.S.E Agriculture qualification need to be considered, while appointing Agriculture Assistant Gr.II on temporary basis through Employment Exchange.

(3.) The petitioners were engaged provisionally for 179 days in the Anjarakandi Krishi Bhavan and Puzhathi Krishi Bhavan respectively for the period from 16.8.2019 to 10.2.2020 Agriculture Assistant Gr.II. On completion of 179 days, the service of the petitioners were terminated as evident by Annexures-A4 & A5 discharge certificates.
