DELEELA JOSE Vs. DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION THRISSUR

Decided On September 17, 2010
DELEELA JOSE Appellant
V/S
DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION,THRISSUR Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner was originally a teacher in an aided school. That aided school was closed down as uneconomic, by Ext.P1 order of the Director of Public Instruction. Consequently, the petitioner was appointed as a protected teacher in Government school. The petitioner's grievance in this writ petition is that although other teachers, who had been appointed as protected teachers on closing down of the school, have been absorbed in Government service as regular teachers, that benefit has not been extended to the petitioner yet. At the same time, the Government continues to grant similar benefits to others, is her grievance. Detailing the petitioner's grievance, the petitioner has filed Ext.P7 representation before the 1st respondent. The petitioner seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P7 expeditiously.

(2.) I have heard the learned Government Pleader also.

(3.) Having heard both sides, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P7, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner.
