(1.) This writ petition has been filed by five students who have submitted that they have been admitted to the B.Sc. Life Sciences Course of different colleges of Delhi University in the academic session 2005-06. The petitioner no. 1 is a student of the Swami Shraddhanand College and the other four petitioners are students of the Shivaji College, which are affiliated to the University of Delhi. The petitioners were successful in the B.Sc. Part I and became eligible to undertake the part II examination in the year April, 2007.
(2.) The petitioners have complained that the respondents modified the result and allotted grace marks to different candidates arbitrarily. As a result several students have been passed and/or promoted to B.Sc. Part III whereas the petitioners have been denied the benefit of grace marks and revision in their results. Allegations of undue weightage of assessments have also been made in the writ petition.

On these allegations, the petitioners filed the present writ petition inter alia contending that the respondents be directed to place on record, the revised result and give details of students who have been passed as a result alongwith and to disclose reasons thereof. It has also been contended that the petitioners be declared as passed and promoted from B.Sc.Part II to B.Sc. Part III of the different colleges where they have been admitted.
