JUDGEMENT

(1.) The applicant is accused of having, committed offences under Sections 170/420/468/471/419 IPC. According to the FIR, he impersonated a Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court and obtained a room in Punjab Bhawan along with someone else. On that day, the Judge who was sought to be impersonated also arrived in Delhi and, therefore, in these circumstances the applicant was caught.

(2.) Learned counsel submitted that the applicant has been in judicial custody for more than a year and that apart from the allegations there are no other serious incidents where he is involved.

(3.) Learned counsel for the respondent opposed the grant of bail and submitted that the applicant had attempted similar offences on previous occasions by trying to pass off as other Judges of the High Court.
