JUDGEMENT

(1.) Petitioner joined service under the bank on 8.1.1967. Rule 19 of the S.B.I. Officers Service Rules regulates the age of superannuation of the officer employees. Said rule as in force upto 31.5.1998 read as under :

(2.) By circular dated 29.5.1998, the age "58 years" stood enhanced to "60 years".

(3.) Circular aforesaid was followed by another circular dated 31.12.1998. Inter alia, it was stipulated as under :-
