NAND KISHORE Vs. LT.GOVERNOR OF DELHI

JUDGEMENT

(1.) Nand Kishore and Richpal Singh are teachers serving under the Delhi Administration. They have, by separate petitions, challenged the orders of the Director of Education, Delhi, dated Sept. 12, 1972 by which they were confirmed on the posts of Post Graduate Teachers with effect from Feb. 10, 1971 and were thereby deprived of the right to be considered for the selection grade sanctioned with effect from Sept. 5, 1971 for the posts of Trained Graduate Teachers.

(2.) The facts relating to both the cases being almost similar it is convenient to dispose of the two petitions by one judgement.

(3.) There are various categories of teachers in the Union Territory of Delhi and the other Union Territories. One of those categories is of Trained Graduate Teachers. The next higher category is of Post Graduate Teachers.
