JUDGEMENT

(1.) Present petition has been filed under section 482 read with section 439(2) Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of order dated 12.05.2020 and cancellation of interim bail granted to the respondent by Sh.Devender Nain, learned Duty Judge/ASJ-05(N-W), Rohini Courts, Delhi.

(2.) Mr.Kirti Uppal, learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent submits that respondent's arrest in FIR No.09/2020 on 13.05.2020 comes close on the heels of an order dated 12.05.2020 passed by Shri Devender Nain, Ld. ASJ, Rohini, whereby respondent/accused had been granted interim bail in 9 cases where he was in judicial custody upto that point in time. Prior to the said order dated 12.05.2020, there was no whisper of the respondent's alleged involvement in FIR No.09/2020.

(3.) Learned senior counsel further submits that the sequence of events leading up to the respondent's arrest in FIR mentioned above leaves no manner of doubt that the arrest itself was arbitrary, illegal and carried out with an intent to defeat and circumvent the earlier order dated 12.05.2020. Prior to his arrest in FIR No.09/2020, the respondent was already in judicial custody in the following 9 cases:
