(1.) The grievance of the Petitioner, in brief, is that her academic performances have been extraordinarily very good and consistent whereas in the Pre Medical Test she has been awarded marks which work out to 78% only. It is the considered self assessment of the Petitioner that she in fact deserved more marks than what has been awarded. In the above premise, the Petitioner has sought for a direction to the 3rd Respondent i.e. Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board to produce entire records pertaining to the Pre Medical Test with answer sheet, to allow the Petitioner to inspect and verify her answer sheet and model answer, to get the revaluation of the Petitioner's answer scripts and to revise the merit list after such revaluation. The reliefs sought cannot be granted. It is well settled by the judgment of the Supreme Court in the case of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and Anr. v. Paritosh Bhupcsh Kurmarsheth, 1984 AIR(SC) 1543 and several other judgments to follow that unless the rules and regulations governing an examination provide for revaluation of the answer scripts or inspection of the answer scripts by the candidate, the Court would not justify in issuing directions to an academic body to revalue answer scripts. Be that as it may, the Petitioner has not laid any allegation of mala fide against the examining body or examiners who assessed her answer scripts. The self assessment made by the Petitioner about her performance could hardly be a valid ground for the Court to grant the kind of reliefs sought by the Petitioner. No ground is made out for entertaining this writ petition. The petition fails and it is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
