JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner has filed this petition seeking the following relief(s):-

(2.) In the present petition, the petitioner has claimed extension of age of retirement at par with the Associate Professors of the Government Colleges i.e. 65 years.

(3.) The facts of the present case are that the petitioner obtained a Bachelor of Library and Information Science from Awadesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa in the year 1986. Thereafter, he obtained a Masters of Library and Information Science Degree from Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur in the year 1990. The petitioner did PhD in Library and Information Science from Guru Ghasidas University in the year 1999. An advertisement was issued by the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission for various posts including the post of Librarian. The petitioner applied for the aforementioned post and later he was appointed vide order dtd. 12/7/1994. A circular was issued by the State of Chhattisgarh on 28/4/2012 whereby the age of superannuation of teaching staff was enhanced from 62 to 65 years. It is also pleaded that the petitioner who is a Librarian is also entitled to get the benefit of the circular as the Librarian also imparts education to the students.
