JUDGEMENT

(1.) This petition is filed by the petitioner-accused under Section 439 of Cr.P.C. seeking to enlarge him on bail in C.R.No.132/2019 registered by Chandra Layout Police Station, Bengaluru for the offence P/U/S 498(A) and 304(B) of IPC and Section 4 of D.P. Act.

(2.) The prosecution is notified of the application.

(3.) The gist of the complaint are that, the complainant Chikkatayamma @ Jayamma W/o. Ramesh lodged a complaint in writing before the respondent-Police that the daughter of the complainant Bindu was given in marriage to the petitioner on 24.11.2017. It is also alleged that the petitioner was ill-treating and harassing the deceased Bindu by demanding dowry during her life time. On 17.07.2019, Bindu committed suicide in the house of the petitioner and the complainant states that the harassment and cruelty caused such an extreme step.
