JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner - Pushpagiri College of Management and Sciences, Kachohalli, Bangalore North Taluk has filed this writ petition in this Court on 16-03-2015, seeking a direction to the Respondent-Bangalore University that they should not charge Rs. 350/- from each student admitted through the petitioner-Institution to the various courses of the Respondent-Bangalore University towards fees for processing of the Applications vide Notification Annexure C dated 27/12/2014.

(2.) The learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. D.R. Ravishankar submitted before the Court that earlier, the said processing fee of Rs. 350/- per student was being charged at the instructions of the Respondent-Bangalore University towards the charges for the Prospectus of the University to be issued to the students seeking Admission in the Respondent-Bangalore University but, since the printing and publication of the Prospectus by the Respondent-Bangalore University was discontinued, the Respondent-Bangalore University could not charge the same fees towards the processing of the Applications for each admission.

He further submitted that the petitioner-Institution was working as a Study Centre and was affiliated to the Respondent-Bangalore University and therefore they were assigned the responsibility of receiving the Applications from the students for various Courses conducted by the Respondent-Bangalore University.
