JUDGEMENT

(1.) Whether the order at Annexure A.8 dated 14.11.2014 dismissing the petitioner from service is sustainable is the question involved in this case.

(2.) The petitioner joined the services of the respondent - Postal Department as a Gramin Dak Sevak, Idurkunhandy Branch Post Office, Udupi Division on 12.11.1977. The third respondent initiated disciplinary inquiry against the petitioner issuing a charge memo as at Annexure A.3 dated 31.5.2013. It was alleged that while working as Gramin Dak Sevak, the petitioner misappropriated the funds of the following five customers.

(3.) The petitioner filed his defence statement to the Articles of Charge. Full-pledged inquiry was conducted. The inquiry officer indicted the petitioner vide Report Annexure A.6 dated 28.10.2014.
