JUDGEMENT

(1.) This petition is filed by the petitioner/accused under Section 438 of Cr.P.C. seeking anticipatory bail, to direct the respondent-police to release him on bail in the event of his arrest for the offences punishable under Rules 42, 43 of Karnataka Minor Mineral Concession Rules and Section 23 of Mines and Minerals Regulation of Development Act and Section 379 of IPC registered in respondent - police station

(2.) The prosecution case is that the present petitioner was transporting stone slabs in the vehicle without having permit or license and thereby he has committed the alleged offence.

(3.) Heard the arguments of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/accused and also the learned High Court Government Pleader appearing for the respondent-State.
