JUDGEMENT

(1.) The defendant filed the present House Rent Revision Petition against the order dated 5th October 2016 made in HRC No.1/2016 on the file of Chief Judge, Court of Small Causes, Bengaluru allowing the petition filed by the present respondent-landlord under Section 27 (2)(r) and 31(1)(c) of the Karnataka Rent Act, 1999 directing the present petitioner to quit, vacate and deliver vacant possession of the schedule premises to the respondent, immediately, as contemplated under Section 31(1)(c) of the Karnataka Rent Act, 1999.

(2.) When the matter is posted today for admission, the learned counsel for the parties filed compromise petition under Order 23 Rule 3 of Code of Civil Procedure duly signed by the respective counsels and both the petitioner and respondent, who are present before this Court and identified by their respective counsels. The Compromise Petition filed by the parties reads as under:-

(3.) In terms of compromise petition, the petitioner has handed over the keys to the respondent in the Open Court and vacant possession was delivered to the respondent. The petitioner also states that he has no claim, right or interest in respect of the Schedule Property. The rights which may have accrued in favour of petitioner, if any, by virtue of landlord and tenant relationship is relinquished and transferred in favour of the respondent absolutely and forever.
