JUDGEMENT

(1.) List has been revised thrice. On be half of the petitioner, appearance has been put by Sri Noel Gonsalves. I have heard Sri Gonsalves and I have gone through the petition as well as the counter statement supported by affidavit filed by the respondents.

(2.) The petitioner has filed this petition with the prayer to the effect that a writ of mandamus or appropriate writ or order or direction be issued to respondent 1, that is University of Mysore, to grant extension of time for submission of dissertation / thesis work and to evaluate the same as required by regulations.

(3.) According to the admitted facts of the case, the petitioner had joined M. Tech. Course in Industrial Electronics in the College, namely Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, Mysore, that is respondent 2. The petitioner successfully completed his first and second semester course in the year 1985.
