JUDGEMENT

(1.) THIS petition purports to have been filed in public interest. The grievance made is against the construction of a Helipad at menase village, in Sringeri, Taluk of Chickmagalur District.

(2.) THE construction of the Helipad is not in public interest contends the petitioner particularly when the same is utilising forest land. According to him the land proposed to be utilised is more suited for grazing of cattle and growing trees. Construction of a Helipad to be used by the V. I. Ps. visiting the area should according to the petitioner yield in favour of the more mundane uses suggested by the petitioner.
