(2.) Respondent No. 6 in Writ Petition No. 7893 of 2024 has filed this appeal challenging the judgment and order dtd. 16/7/2024.

The brief facts are that the election for the post of Treasurer to the Board of Directors of the Bangalore Advocates Co-operative Society Limited was notified through the issuance of a calendar of events. Both the appellant and Respondent No. 1 filed their respective nominations to contest for the position of Treasurer. However, the Returning Officer rejected nomination of Respondent No.1 on the grounds that one of the proposers had nominated more than one candidate. As the appellant was the only candidate, the election for the post of Treasurer was declared unanimous.
