SYED SADATH Vs. STATE OF KARNATAKA

JUDGEMENT

(1.) This petition is filed by accused Nos.3 and 4 under Sec. 483 praying to grant bail in Crime No.118/2025 of Azad Nagar Police Station, Davanagere, registered for the offence punishable under Sec. 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act.

(2.) Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned HCGP for respondent / State.

(3.) As per the complaint lodged by the PSI, Azad Nagar Police Station, Davanagere, accused by name Syed Sadath Abrar (Petitioner No.1), Syed Imran (Petitioner No.2) and M.Prashanth (accused No.5) were arrested in relation to the cases registered in police station in Crime Nos.114/2025, 115/2025 and 117/2025 under Sec. 27(b) of the NDPS Act and during interrogation, they alleged to have confessed that they purchased Ganja from the accused Nos.1 and 2. They allegedly led the police behind the stadium, SSM Nagara "B' Block, Davanagere, from where the said persons were apprehended. From accused No.1, a plastic bag containing 1250 gms of ganja was recovered under mahazar.
