JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioners are holders of post -graduate degree. The first petitioner is presently working as Assistant Artisan in the Davanagere Division of the 2nd respondent Corporation. The second petitioner is working as Technical Assistant in the same division.

(2.) THE recruitment in the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (for short 'Corporation') is made in accordance with the procedure prescribed under K.S.R.T.C. (Cadre and Recruitment) Regulations, 1982, (for short 'the regulations'). The regulations provides for two modes of recruitments, one through promotion and the other through direct recruitment. Further 20% of posts meant for direct recruitment is reserved for the officials working in the KSRTC and the same is known as 'in service quota'.

(3.) THE first petitioner had appeared for the common aptitude test during the year 1998, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2009 and on 19.5.2013 while second petitioner had appeared for the said examination in the year 2007 and on 19.5.2013.
