JUDGEMENT

(1.) THOUGH this matter is listed in the orders list, it is taken up for final disposal with the consent of the learned counsel appearing for both the parties.

(2.) THIS appeal by the claimant is directed against the impugned judgment and award dated 20.6.2011 passed in MVC No.64/2009 on the file of the Sr.Civil Judge, Nanjangud (hereinafter referred to as 'Tribunal' for short).

(3.) BY its judgment and award, the Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.1,57,325/ - with interest at 6% p.a., from the date of petition till its realization as against the claim made by the appellant, on account of the injuries sustained by him in the road traffic accident.
