GANGADHARAPPA B.O. Vs. KARNATAKA SANSKRIT UNIVERSITY

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The petitioner - Gangadharappa in W.P. No.21896/2013 has filed this Writ Petition challenging the order appointing respondent No.3 - Prakash Pagoji as a Deputy Registrar ("DR") in the Karnataka Sankrit University. A consequential prayer is sought that respondent No.1 be directed to issue an appointment order by redoing the merit list and to appoint the petitioner to the post of DR, if he is otherwise qualified and eligible to appoint to the said post.

(2.) The petitioner - Smt. Shailashree R. in W.P. No.28172/2013 has filed this Writ Petition challenging the order appointing respondent No.3 - Shivamurthy M. as Sec. Officer in the respondent No.1 - Karnataka Sanskrit University and for a consequential prayer to redo the merit list and recommend the name of the petitioner to the Syndicate to the post of Sec. Officer is also sought.

(3.) In both these Writ Petitions, the attack to the order of appointment in favour of the respondents is basically on the ground that both of them did not meet the stipulation regarding age under the C and R Rules and their claim for relaxation of the age limit by 10 years was untenable.
