JUDGEMENT

(1.) THE petitioner, who has completed his PUC with the optionals of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science/Electronics has approached this Court with the grievance that the respondent No.4 is holding him ineligible to get admitted to the B.E. Course.

(2.) SRI V.V.Gunjal, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondent Nos.4 and 5 are insisting that only those candidates who have passed PUC with optionals of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology are eligible for admission to the B.E. Course. He brings to my notice the corrigendum issued by the fifth respondent to the effect that the candidates with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical vocational subject are eligible for admission to the B.E.Course.

(3.) RECORDING the submissions made on behalf of the respondent Nos.4 and 5, I dispose of this petition with the direction to the respondent No.3 Karnataka Examinations Authority to treat the Computer Science/Electronics subjects as Technical vocational subjects and permit the petitioner to take part in the ongoing process for admission for B.E. Course 2012- 2013. Needless to observe that the respondent No.3 shall examine the eligibility of the petitioner in all other respects.
