JUDGEMENT

(1.) Apprehending their arrest in Crime No.17/2020 of Madikeri Town Police Station, the petitioners have filed this petition for anticipatory bail.

(2.) The said case was registered against the petitioners for the offence punishable under Section 306 of IPC on the basis of complaint of Jayapal the brother of the deceased Manjula. Manjula was married to Dharma a mason 21 years back. The couple have two sons by name Suryaprakash and Adarsh. On 20.02.2020 Manjula committed suicide by hanging herself in her house in Madikeri.

The brother of the deceased filed complaint alleging that before committing suicide, the deceased Manjula sent voice message to him and others alleging that she had lent Rs.1,45,000/- and gold jewellaries weighing 10 grams to accused No.1. She allegedly informed in the voice message that on 17.02.2020, accused No.2 filed complaint against her in Madikeri Town police station and all the accused insulted and humiliated her spreading rumours against her and disgusted by that, she is committing suicide. Thus accused abetted her to commit suicide.
