JUDGEMENT

(1.) It is the case of the petitioner that petitioner has completed her pre-university college in Science course in first class in the Sharanabasveshwar Residential Pre-University College, Kalaburagi for the academic year 2018-19. The petitioner has appeared for CET-2020 and NEET(UG)-2020 for the year 2020 and while uploading the necessary information prescribed in the official website, by oversight, she has mentioned her caste as Veershaiva Lingayat GM category instead of Banajiga II-A category. Afterwards, the petitioner realized her mistake in the application uploaded for taking NEET and CET examination-2020. Hence, this petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to allow her to correct the details provided in the caste column, before scheduled document verification by the authorities.

Sri Arunkumar Amargundappa, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has vehemently submitted that by oversight the petitioner has made a wrong entry in the application which could be rectified by the respondent- Authorities and if an opportunity is given to the petitioner, she would rectify the same and provide the correct information in the caste column and accordingly, the petitioner prayed for direction to respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.10.2020.

(3.) Per contra, Sri Basavaraj R. Math, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 2, submitted that if the representation is in order, the same would be considered by the respondent-Authorities, in accordance with law.
