JUDGEMENT

(1.) . The State of West Bengal has filed an affidavit alongwith reports of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission for the years 1995-96, 1996-97 and 1997-98 and the Memorandum of action taken by the government of West Bengal. Copies of the same have been furnished to the learned Amicus Curiae also.

(2.) . This matter shall be considered alongwith cases relating to the States/UTs. of Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshdeep, Daman & Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Meghalaya and Nagaland shall be taken up for consideration. <PARA>
