ENVIORNMENT SOCIETY OF INDIA Vs. UNION OF INDIA

JUDGEMENT

(1.) In this writ petitions the petitioner has made the following prayers:-

(2.) Notice was issued both in the writ petition as well as in the application for grant of interim relief/direction on 6/04/1998. Respondent Nos. 3 and 4 have been served. So far as respondents 1 and 2 are concerned, proof of service is not forthcoming. MR. P. P. Malhotra, learned Senior counsel appearing for the Union of india - respondent No. 3 submits that instructions from respondents 1 and 2 are awaited.

(3.) Ms. Anubha Jain, learned counsel appears and submits that she shall file memorandum of appearance on behalf of respondents 1 and 2 as well and seek instructions and file a counter on their behalf by the next date.
