Challenge in this appeal is to the judgment of a learned Single Judge of the Madras High Court upholding the conviction of the appellant for offence punishable under Section 8(c) read with Section 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (in short the Rs. Act) and sentence of 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 1,00,000/- as was imposed by learned Special Judge, Salem.
