JUDGEMENT

(1.) The challenge in this appeal by the State of Maharashtra is to an order of acquittal of the accused respondent who has been convicted under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ("IPC" for short).

(2.) We have heard the learned counsels for the parties.

(3.) We have perused the materials on record, including the evidence tendered by the relevant prosecution witnesses i.e. P.W.1 (Anjanabai Thood) and P.W.4 (Gulab Atram).
