JUDGEMENT

(1.) Civil Appeal No. 16985 of 2017 (@ SLP (C) No. 22916/2009) : Leave granted.

(2.) The issue in this appeal pertains to the claim for regularization in the post of Inspector made by the appellant in pursuance of the merger of the cadres which took place on 19-1-2003 under the Inspector Examiner Recruitment Rules, 2002 (for short, the "Rules").

(3.) The only contention of the learned counsel for the appellant is that the regularization of his services should be done on the basis of seniority which is determined after the merger in accordance with the Rules and the law laid down by this Court in the case of Dhole Govind Sahebroo and Ors. v. Union of India and Ors., (2015) 6 SCC 727.
