JUDGEMENT

(1.) Heard Mr. Siddhartha Sinha, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. Rana Mukherjee, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the 1st respondent. Respondent No.2, though served, remained unrepresented.

(2.) The union of India has filed this petition seeking transfer of the Writ Appeal No. 54 of 2023 and Miscellaneous Case (Writ Appeal) No.103 of 2023 from the Manipur High Court at Imphal, to the Gauhati High Court. The respondents do not oppose the transfer petitions.

(3.) Considering the above, we deem it appropriate allow transfer of Writ Appeal No.54 of 2023 titled 'Union of India and Others vs. Dr. L Ranjit Singh and Another' and Miscellaneous Case (Writ Appeal) No.103 of 2023 titled 'Union of India and Others vs. Dr. L Ranjit Singh and Another' pending in the High Court of Manipur at Imphal, to the Gauhati High Court at Guwahati. It is ordered accordingly.
