(1.) Issue notice on the special leave petition. Since the Respondent No. 1 is duly represented on caveat, service of notice on the said Respondent is dispensed with.

(2.) Let a copy of the notice, as well as the special leave petition, be served on Ms. Asha Gopalan Nair, learned Standing Counsel for the State of Maharashtra, to enable her to take instructions on behalf of the State of Maharashtra.
