JUDGEMENT

(1.) The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that between 15.1.2011 and 4.3.2011, as many as 674 bull tamers/participants and 224 onlookers have sustained injuries and six persons have died. It is, therefore, evident that the safety measures that have been adopted are not satisfactory or sufficient.

(2.) In view of the above, even though it is stated that most of 'Jallikatu' events for the current year are over, we propose to issue the following additional safeguards to ensure safety.

(3.) List for final disposal on a non-miscellaneous day in April, 2011.
