RAJAN Vs. STATE OF KERALA

Decided On January 31, 2001
RAJAN Appellant
V/S
STATE OF KERALA Respondents

JUDGEMENT

(1.) The appellant stands convicted for murder of one lady, Indira. The guilt was sought to be established with the help of circumstances. alone as no eye-witness was present at the time of occurrence. The trial Court and the High court considered the circumstances and found them proved. Both the Courts held that the proved circumstances have formed themselves into a complete chain which led to irresistible conclusion that the murder was committed by the appellant.

(2.) We have examined the sufficiency of the circumstances with the help of the arguments addressed by Mr. C. N. Sreekumar, learned counsel, appointed as Amicus Curiae. We are not able to discover any infirmity in the findings of the trial Court and the High Court nor the conclusion made by the two Courts that the circumstances are sufficient to establish the guilt of the appellant. The appeal is accordingly dismissed.
