JUDGEMENT

(1.) An IA has been filed on behalf of the State of U. P. in court relating to felling and extraction of 203 sal trees from Rajaji National Park, Dehradun. Let the same be registered and numbered.

(2.) Issue notice. Mr Salve, learned amicus curice accepts notice. He submits that in view of the averments made in the application and especially in para 4, the application be allowed.

(3.) We direct that the State of U. P. may take appropriate steps for felling and extracting 203 sal trees from Rajaji National Park which are stated to have been attacked by sal borer. This exercise will be undertaken by the State under the supervision of the scientists of Entomology Division of the Forest research Institute, Dehradun. The exercise be completed within a period of four months and the report be then submitted by the State as well as the forest Research Institute. List thereafter. IA No. 424
